We are fundraising to provide food, medicine, oxygen, medical home care and transportation costs for victims and survivors of sex-trafficking and Freedom Firm field staff.

A year ago on May 5th, 2020, you all responded to Freedom Firm's efforts to meet the needs as Covid-19 surfaced for the first time in India. 5 months of lockdown left many starving. Thanks to your immediate generosity, we were able to deliver groceries and medical supplies to hundreds of girls.

I never dreamed that exactly a year later, India would be in even greater distress as the second wave of Covid-19 brought the country to its knees. Three new variants, more lethal and contagious than the first, have swept the nation. Hospitals, overwhelmed within the first few days, exhausted vital oxygen supplies. Thousands of people who could of been saved died in hospitals and on the streets outside, while waiting for admission to the hospitals.

Catherine Raja, National Director for Freedom Firm says, "Everyday I hear of someone I know personally, dying. Age is no longer a factor." Families are not allowed to go and collect the bodies of their loved ones, see the bodies, or attend the cremations or burials.

Catherine lays out her plan for Freedom Firm's response to the crisis. "The immediate need is for food, medical supplies, oxygen tanks for home care (because the hospitals have run out and have no beds), patient transportation, and home care." Catherine also mentions that right now the government has restricted access to the red-light areas citing "that social workers are super-spreaders. We will be sending in staff as soon as it is possible," Catherine explains.

Will you join us to meet the needs of the girls and Freedom Firm field staff in practical ways through gifts of food, essential provisions, medicine, oxygen, transportation and home care?

Together we made a tremendous difference last year. Together, we can do it again.
